Super-absorbent antibacterial lipido-colloid non-adhesive dressing


Composition and Properties

Urgocell® Silver / Cellosorb® Ag is a super-absorbent lipido-colloid dressing composed an absorbent polyurethane foam pad combined with a lipido-colloid interface (TLC) impregnated with silver salts.

  • Exudates are absorbed instantly and vertically, limiting the risks of maceration of the wound edges.
  • Exudates are retained in the dressing
  • Effective on resistant organisms: MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus), VRE (Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus Faecalis) and MRB (Multi-Resistant Bacteria).
  • Very well tolerated
  • Urgocell® Silver / Cellosorb® Ag forms a lipido-colloid gel on contact with the exudates, which:
    • Creates moist conditions promoting the healing process,
    • Prevents adhesion of the dressing to the wound,
    • Makes dressing changes completely painless.

 

Indications

Local treatment of moderate to heavily exuding

  • acute wound ( partial – thickness burns, dermabrasions, traumatic wounds,  …)
  • chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers) at  risk of infection.

Recommended for wounds with damaged surrounding skin.

 

Method of use

  • Cover with a dry or cohesive bandage
  • Renewal every 1 to 3 days
