Lipido-colloid contact layer with a protective pad
Absorbent sterile non-occlusive, non-adhesive, lipido-colloid dressing (issued from the Lipido-Colloid Technology, exclusive patented innovation by Laboratoires Urgo).
Urgotul® Duo is a lipido-colloid dressing made of a polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid (carboxymethylcellulose) and vaseline particles, combined with a protective absorbent pad (100% viscose).
Properties
Urgotul® Duo forms a lipido-colloid gel on contact with the exudates, which permits :
- Healing in a moist environment
- Painless and atraumatic removal
- Proliferation of fibroblasts
- Protection of the wound
The pad of Urgotul® Duo is protective and absorbent. Urgotul® Duo is easier to use and more comfortable for the patient because it is not necessary to put a secondary dressing on the wound.
Urgotul® Duo is pliable and very comfortable especially indicated for covering wounds located in awkward areas.
Indications
Local treatment of acute wounds (burns, skin abrasions, traumatic wounds…) and chronic wounds (leg ulcers, pressure ulcers…) at the granulation/epithelialisation stage.
Treatment of wounds caused by congenital epidermolysis bullosa.
Method of use
- Cover with an extensible bandage or a multi-extensible adhesive plaster.
- Renewal every 2 to 4 days
